We strive to provide an opportunity for each resident to express their talents, interests and capabilities in a manner that promotes personal fulfillment. In 2002 we were given a North Dakota Long Term Care Association Best Practice Award for our Sensory Stimulation and Reminiscent Program.
Special individual visits are made to those residents who are unable to participate in all of our general activities because of physical and/or mental challenges. These visits may include reading, music, sensory stimulation, or whatever is of benefit and interest to that person.
Special Annual Events:
|Mother’s Day Tea||Younger Than Average Groups (YTA)|
|Father’s Day Picnic||Holiday Celebrations|
|Ice Cream Social||Eagles Christmas Dinner|
|Veteran Programs||Learning for Life Programs|
|Resident Art Show|
Our monthly calendar includes regular Chapel and Mass services, bingo, birthday parties, games, crafts, baking, resident choir, pet visits, exercise, movies, Learning for Life education programs, and performances by professional musicians.
We invite you to enjoy one of our beautiful courtyards conveniently located throughout the facility. We regularly schedule programs in these secure and beautifully landscaped spaces as the weather allows.
If you are thinking about making a difference in someone’s life you’ve come to the right place! MSLCC has volunteer opportunities for getting residents to and from activities, playing games, assisting with bingo, craft projects, reading, visiting and providing instrumental or vocal music. If you would like to volunteer please contact the Activity Department at 701-221-9368.
Adult Day Program:
We offer a relief from compassion fatigue, burnout and being confined at home through our day program. Participants spend the daytime with us and go home at night. Supervised services available for these needs include activities, a noon meal and snacks. Hair care can be purchased for an additional charge. The Adult Day Program operates five days a week, Monday through Friday, from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. Participation can be scheduled for one-half or full days, one to five days a week according to individual needs.
