If functioning as well as possible with life’s activities is your goal this is where you need to be! Many of our residents have worked with our therapy department to return home or to other levels of care.

Missouri Slope Lutheran Care Center offers a complete range of rehabilitation services to assist recovery. Our professional staff includes physical and occupational therapists, physical and occupational therapy assistants, a speech therapist, and an administrative professional rehab aide.

We offer inpatient and outpatient therapy which allows us to establish continuity of care and treat the patient in-house as well as on an outpatient basis as needed. Throughout the course of the patient's therapy the therapists work closely with the physician and other healthcare providers, along with the patient's family, to ensure that his/her total needs are met. We complete in-home evaluations prior to the patient returning home to make recommendations that will ensure safety and success.

Our nursing rehabilitation program includes the education of staff to carry out specific therapeutic programs to allow the residents to reach their highest possible functional level.

PHYSICAL THERAPY
Physical therapy assists patients in moving more comfortably, increasing mobility, and maintaining endurance to resume life activities.

OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY
Occupational therapy helps patients become as functionally independent and productive as possible.

SPEECH THERAPY
Speech language pathology provides evaluations and training in the areas of communication and eating, including swallowing, and chewing ability.

RESTORATIVE THERAPY DEPARTMENT
Missouri Slope Lutheran Care Center employs trained restorative aides that work closely with the physical and occupational therapists to carry out specifically designed exercise programs to promote maintenance of acquired skills.
