VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

MSLCC needs volunteers to help residents with getting to and from activities, playing games, assisting with bingo, helping with craft projects, reading, visiting and providing instrumental or vocal music.

Each resident is given a monthly activity calendar which is also posted throughout the building. For any activity concerns or to volunteer, please contact the Activity Director.

ADULT DAY CARE

Missouri Slope Lutheran Care Center opened the first adult day care program in the state April, 1 1973. This program provides individuals from the community support services during the daytime hours which allows them to return to their home at night. The program is staffed through the Activity Department by Certified Nursing Assistants.

Services available are activities, a noon meal and snacks. Restorative therapy, whirlpool baths and hair care can be purchased for an additional charge.

The adult day care program operates five days a week, Monday through Friday, from 8:00 am-5:00 pm. A person may schedule participation one-half or full days, one to five days a week, according to their individual needs.

Contact the Social Services Coordinator for more information.
