Registered Nurse “Not only as a nurse, but as an employee, it is important to me to go to a job every day I like to go to. Not only do I like my job at Missouri Slope, I love it. We work as a team to ensure the people we take care of are meeting their goals and are happy living at Missouri Slope. We work closely with dietary, physical therapy, speech therapy, activities, CNA’s and more to help people reach their goals and go home. We also provide a wonderful place to live. I feel a sense of accomplishment in many ways at Missouri Slope. Also there are many opportunities to move up the chain to management, being a large facility we have three Nursing Unit Directors and a Director of Resident Services. Not only am I helping others when they need me the most, I am also fulfilling my own goals in my profession.” |

Mentor CNA “Missouri Slope makes me feel appreciated for the work I do. I like to be a caregiver. The residents of Missouri Slope are my first priority. Our company has very good safety policies, insuring safe living for our residents and a safe workplace for everyone. I am very happy to be a Mentor CNA. Teaching the new CNAs to lovingly care for fragile,
old people and helping CNAs to be successful on the job is my duty. Every department works together to provide excellent care to our residents. The real test of success is what happens between people and the loving kindness we exchange.” |

Certified Medication Assistant “I have been with Missouri Slope Lutheran Care Center for nine years. Coming to work every day is very rewarding. When I walk into a residents room, they light up with huge smiles and they tell me how much they enjoy seeing me. Those many, many hugs go straight to my heart. Yes, the residents are my family.
Missouri Slope Lutheran Care Center is very conscientious of the residents needs as well as the employees' needs. Our recent VPP Star status really says it all. I am very proud to be a part of their team. I would not hesitate to enroll my parent in Missouri Slope Lutheran Care Center.” |

Administrative Assistant “I can honestly say I love coming to work every morning. Each day brings new opportunities to offer a caring smile, a listening ear, or a compassionate hug. Of course, we have a lot of fun, too! Working as a team, the staff strives to make each day meaningful for the tenants, whether we plan an elaborate special event or simply help them find joy in ordinary moments. At Valley View Heights, I have more than just a job. I am part of a community.” |
