Dining with Family

We strive to provide an opportunity for each resident to express their talents, interests and capabilities in a manner that promotes personal fulfillment. In 2002 we were given a North Dakota Long Term Care Association Best Practice Award for our Sensory Stimulation and Reminiscent Program. Click here for a link to our Activity Calendar.

We invite you to enjoy one of our beautiful courtyards conveniently located throughout the building. These courtyards are wheelchair accessible so our residents and their families can safely enjoy the outdoors.

Special individual visits are made to those residents who are unable to participate in all of our general activities because of physical and/or mental challenges. These visits may include reading, music, sensory stimulation, or whatever is of benefit and interest to that person.

Special Annual Events:
Family Tea                                Eagle’s Christmas Dinner
Veteran’s Dinner                       Couples Valentines Dinner
Resident Christmas Pageant       Nursing Home Week
Resident Picnic                          Ice Cream Social
Fathers Day Breakfast

Volunteer Opportunities:
If you are thinking about making a difference in someone’s life you’ve come to the right place! MSLCC has volunteer opportunities for getting residents to and from activities, playing games, assisting with bingo, craft projects, reading, visiting and providing instrumental or vocal music. If you would like to volunteer please contact the Activity Director.

Adult Day Care:
We offer a relief from compassion fatigue, burnout and being confined at home through our day program. Participants spend the daytime with us and go home at night. Supervised services available for these needs include activities, a noon meal and snacks. Restorative therapy, whirlpool baths and hair care can be purchased for an additional charge. The Adult Day Care program operates five days a week, Monday through Friday, from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. Participation can be scheduled for one-half or full days, one to five days a week according to individual needs.
